The Doberman Breed
The Doberman is a breed known for loyalty, intelligence, and trainability. They are very active dogs that require a lot of exercise. (Lack of exercise can result in a bored dog, and can contribute to behavioral issues.)
Dobermans that are properly socialized at a young age can be very good with children, as well as with other dogs.
Per the AKC, the average Doberman has the approximate height of 26-28 inches (male)/24-26 inches (female), and can weigh around 75-100 pounds (male)/60-90 pounds (female). Their life average expectancy is noted to be between 10-12 years.
This is a velcro breed, and will not do well if left alone for long periods of time.
