Daffy is a sweet and handsome boy who was found running around as a stray. The locals who reported him said he would come to people’s yard to play with their kids and their dogs. We contacted the shelter per jurisdiction requirement, and also posted him on social media and lost dog websites, but no one came forward to claim him.
Daffy is a red male Doberman, is approximately 5 years old and 75 lbs, and is named after Daffy Duck because of his rear left foot, which only has two nails and resembles an adorable (we think!) duck foot. He is super calm and super sweet, and good with other dogs and humans. He is currently being fostered in Bakersfield, California.
I’m always hesitant to say that Doberman is good with kids, but I think Daffy might just be that rare one. He is very gentle. He is likely very good with cats as well (with proper introductions, of course). He shows no tendency for prey drive.
