This handsome black-and-tan male doberpup was found in Bakersfield as a stray on 4/2/2022.  He is approximately 1 1/2  years old, 65lbs or so (a bit on the skinny side – foster mom is fattening him up) with natural ears and a docked tail.  He still has some growing to do, but should be about 80-85 lbs fully grown at a healthy weight.  He had been running around for a few days (per the locals) before he was apprehended by two teenage girls, who kept him safe until the Bakersfield Doberman godmother (@blessed_dobies) picked him up.  He was taken to the vet, where it was found that he was not microchipped.  The local shelter was notified, and he was also posted on social media and lost dog websites; no one came forward for him.  So, he’s ours now! 🙂

Gideon a goofy happy boy.  He is super friendly towards ALL people.  He is also dog-friendly (gets along great with the ladies, but require slower intros for males).

This handsome pup is now up to date on vaccines, microchipped; he is pending his neuter surgery (set for 4/21/22) before he is ready to go to his furever home.

Because Gideon is a younger pup and he is a Doberman, we will require any first-time Doberman owner interested in adopting Gideon to complete obedience training (at least up to intermediate level).
