Lady

Lady came to our rescue as an owner surrender.  She was adopted by her owner at age 1 from an elderly couple who could no longer care for her.  For the past 3 years, Lady has lived with a senior Australian Shepherd, but as her sibling aged, she became too much for him.

At a tiny 50-ish lbs, Lady is a very high energy dobergirl and loves to play ball (per her foster family, Lady would pick up a ball, bring it inside, and whine).  She would be a great companion for an active family.  She is slightly nervous around other dogs, but she gets along with the two females and one other male in her foster home.  She still hates the Dremel on nail day, but foster mom is slowly working on that with her. 🙂

Lady is crate-trained and prefers to relax in her crate.  She’ll be fine with any dog, but slow and proper introductions are a must.  We also require that our adopter for Lady maintains crate-training and crating at least for the first 3 months, as the crate is a safe place for Lady to sleep/rest.

She is currently living at her foster home in Bakersfield, California.  Please call or email us with any questions or if you would like to meet lady.
