Bosworth was named after gorgeous Kate Bosworth for his beautiful eyes brought about by a condition known as central heterochromia (where there are two different colors in one iris). This little solemn but loving 50 lb doberpup appears to be 100% doberman in his appearance, but he is actually in fact only 40% doberman – the rest of his DNA is a mixture of GSP, GSD, dalmation, and some other variations! Who would have known?
Bozzie (as his moms call him) was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Southern California. He was terrified and not doing well in shelter environment, and we (the founders of the rescue and Bosworth’s current moms) couldn’t let this terrified boy stay there for another day in that loud and scary shelter! We pulled this doberpup in a collaborative effort between many people, and was safely home! He came to us so thin we could see each of his ribs, and he had a tick-borne disease as well as joint/limb stiffness. Under the care of his moms, he recovered and is now healthy!
Bozzie is now living his best life with his three siblings in a house near the beach. He has the BEST moms who take care of his each and every medical needs – he goes to acupuncture and gets chiropractic care for his stiff joints and tendons. He gets LOTS of walkies. His moms love him so much!
